This February Lind & Ritzville voters will see a replacement EP&O and Capital Levies on the February 10, 2026 ballot.
Did you know?
Levies are for Learning - Approximately 15% of the Ritzville School District’s and 11% of the Lind School District's budget comes from Educational Programs & Operation (EP&O) Levy funds. These dollars are critical to maintaining certain programs and services that support more than 556 Lind and Ritzville students every day.

Facts every citizen should know about levies:
- Both propositions replace expiring levies are not new taxes.Voters approved two levies in 2024. These levies expire at the end of 2026 and require a vote to renew the measures.
-
More than ever levies are needed to fund schools. While the state has increased funding for schools in recent years, state funding does not cover the full cost of operating a school district. Levies are needed to fund nearly 11% of Lind School Districts and 15% of Ritzville School Districts current costs. Levies are also needed to pay for critical infrastructure like HVAC systems, boilers, and roofs. They also fund a portion of our technology, utility, supply and insurance expenses.
- The levies help all of our kids across all schools. Levy dollars are used at all schools to provide programs and services to kids in preschool through 12th grade.
- The two-year proposal provides the district an opportunity for more consistent planning through sustained funding. A two-year levy saves taxpayers the election costs of running a levy each year.
