• COVID-19 Testing

The Washington State Department of Health is working with partners to help create a safe environment for in-person learning through the Learn to Return program. Learn to Return helps schools provide easy COVID-19 testing for students on site.

    Learn to Return:

    • Is designed to be no cost to families
    • Is voluntary

    • Helps protect your child at school

    • Keeps schools open for in-person learning

    • Allows continued participation in sports and extracurricular activities.

    • Keeps your child's identity private

    • Uses easy, shallow swab tests with your child's comfort in mind

To learn more, parents and students can visit the Learn to Return website.

There are 2 types of COVID-19 tests available for students/staff at Lind-Ritzville Cooperative Schools:

    Rapid Antigen (AT SCHOOL)
    - These are the rapid antigen testing kits we are all familiar with, like BinaxNOW. Most students can administer these tests themselves with the supervision of a trained observer. They deliver results in 15 minutes and are a good option for diagnostic testing or routine screening of various groups (e.g. athletics, performing arts, etc.). A signed consent form from parents/guardians is required for students to receive school-based testing.

    Rapid Antigen (AT HOME)
    - Tests can be taken home by students and staff for their personal use. These can be sent home with symptomatic students or staff so they have access to tests while isolating at home.
